MARSH WALL

Project description:

At 156m, Marsh Wall will become the tallest student accommodation building in the world upon completion. Rising 48 storeys from a tight, split-level, triangular site, this technically complex project will provide 1,068 student beds, 2,500m² of amenity space, and a generous roof garden with panoramic views over the Thames and Canary Wharf skyline.

The development will also enhance the surrounding public realm, introducing a new pedestrian link between Cuba Street and Marsh Wall, along with a carefully designed pocket park, as part of a broader strategy to improve permeability and biodiversity on the Isle of Dogs.

To support projects of this scale, Red Group is strategically expanding its in-house prefabrication and manufacturing capabilities. This approach enables greater control over quality, improved programme certainty, and increased efficiency across all stages of delivery. By integrating design, manufacturing, and installation, Red Group is able to streamline construction processes, reduce on-site risks, and ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes for technically complex developments such as Marsh Wall.
